Belém & Lx Factory Tuk Tour

Lisbon's street art is diverse, reflecting the city's cultural heritage, contemporary issues, and the creativity of its artists. Whether exploring historic neighborhoods or visiting dedicated street art spaces, there's always something new to discover on the streets of Lisbon.

We have created a specific street art tour in the center of Lisbon with murals by various artists. This tour is subject to change as some of the murals are ephemeral. If you want to explore more examples of street art, we can always take a diversion to Lx Factory or end the tour at Galeria Underdogs.

The route we propose passes through Alfama, Graça, Santo Apolonia and Santos. Here's a list of some of the murals we'll see during the tour:

  • “Half Young Panda” by Bordallo II
  • “Tropical Fado in RGB Tones” by Ozearv
  • “Sophia de Mello Breyner” by Daniel Eime
  • “Adapta” by Add Fuel
  • “Peace Guard Lisbon” by Shepard Fairey
  • “Scratching Surface” by Vhils and Shepard Fairey
  • “La vie est belle” by Monsieur André
  • ”Mural commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Abolition of the Death Penalty” in Portugal by Mario Belem
  • “Poseidon” by PichiAvo
  • “The Fox” by Bordallo II

Highlights

Add Fuel

Add Fuel is renowned for his work inspired by traditional Portuguese azulejo tiles. He transforms these classic motifs into contemporary street art, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity.

Vhils

Vhils art often involves creating portraits or intricate compositions by removing layers from urban surfaces, revealing the history and textures of the material beneath. This unique approach sets him apart in the world of street art.

Bordallo II

Many of Bordalo II's art pieces are part of his "Trash Animals" series, featuring three-dimensional depictions of animals. These installations draw attention to environmental issues, particularly the impact of human activities on wildlife and the planet.

Mario Belem

Over the last few years, he has been solidifying a distinctively personal language – colorful and playful – where he frequently juxtaposes images and words, composing visual narratives of a magical nature that are rooted in a balance between the familiar and the unusual and that explore various subjects inherent to communication, popular culture and the present human condition.
